Welcome to Kowhai Corner Bunnyborough

Come and visit K. C. Bunnyborough and meet the rabbits that live there.  K.C. Bunnyborough is a safe haven for rabbits located on the back of Kowhai Tree Farm.   Mr Sunshine owns Kowhai Tree farm and has given permission for the rabbits  to use the land and establish their own community.

Most of the rabbits are Sylvanian rabbits or similar but  other rabbits and animals will also feature in some of the stories.  Missing from this photo this is Mrs Lemon, Tansy and Rosemary.

This is a photo of all rabbits living at K. C. Bunnyborough when I started this blog.

This is the Grayson family; Top left to right; Mrs Grayson, Mr Grayson, lower level is Tracy, baby Pip, Tansy, Lowest level is Richard, Chantilly, Grace, Greg and Lace. Mr Know is on the right who is the leader of K. C. Bunnyborough.

This is Mr Grayson’s brother and his family. So it is not confusing I have renamed this family Grayson-Blue. Left to right is Mrs Grayson-Blue, Mr Grayson-Blue and Fiona Fawn who is living with them. Lower level is baby Brooke, Bluebell and Greg.

Visitors to K. C. Bunnyborough in January 2010

A green butterfly has arrived from England to visit  Grandfather and Grandmother Cottontail.   Grandfather and Grandmother Cottontail knew the green butterfly when they lived in England.    When they retired last year, they  moved from England   to come and live at K. C. Bunnyborough in New Zealand. The green butterfly would like stay at K. C. Bunnyborough during the summer months.

The second visitor during January 2010 was an echidna from Australia. He has met with some of the male rabbits to ask if he can stay a week to observe how  K. C. Bunnyborough functions.   Mr Know introduces himself as the leader, (he is  dressed in blue), and introduces him to the other male rabbits. There is a committee who has regular meetings to discuss and solve any problems.   The echidna stayed a week and to observe the daily life of the rabbits. On his last at K. C. Bunnyborough day he presented Mr Know with a boomerang as a token of his thanks for letting him stay.

A summer holiday treat organized by the committee each year is a drink of Lemon and Paeroa, a natural mineral water fizzy drink for every rabbit. Mr Grayson, his son Richard, Len and Larry Lemon  took Strawberry, the pony harnessed to the trap to the Lemon and Paeroa factory and brought back a  can of Lemon and Paeroa back to K. C.  Bunnyborough. The committee will distribute a drink to every rabbit living at  K. C. Bunnyborough.

The  word has spread amongst the rabbits that Strawberry has  arrived back at K. C. Bunnyborough with the Lemon and Paeroa can and the rabbits come to  get their drink.
