Ricky and Ruth Settle into their Shelter

Part two of A Shelter for Ricky and Ruth Rattie

The next day after Terry Tan showed Ricky and Ruth their box shelter which has been given to them to make a home for themselves Ricky scampered back to the area where the soap dish was and brought it back to their shelter.

He was only back a few minutes when Terry Tan arrived with some wall paper. He tells Ricky and Ruth he has brought  some wall paper for the back wall and will stay and put it up.

  Ricky and Ruth are delighted with the wall paper and Ricky helps Terry Tan put it up.

 

 

They didn’t have time to admire it because Mrs Grayson and Mrs Grayson Blue arrive with a pillow each to give to Ricky and Ruth.  The rabbits welcome them both and invite them to come into K. C. Bunnyborough to meet the other rabbits.

Ricky and Ruth thank them both and Ricky says they are too shy to meet the other rabbits meanwhile Ruth put the pillows into their bed. Grandmother Cottontail has now arrived with a blanket. Grandmother Cottontail offers the blanket to Ricky and Ruth and said it was a spare one she had in the caravan.
Ruth accepts the blanket and thanks Grandmother Cottontail.

 The White family arrive next with a mat for Ricky and Ruth. (Terry Tan notices Mrs White’s sister, Pink Nose, is with them. He hasn’t been introduced to her yet but has heard how beautiful she is.) Ricky and Ruth thank the white family for the mat.

Mr and Mrs Know are next to arrive with the twins and have brought with them a versatile table that can be put together and taken apart  when needed. Mr Know welcomes Ricky and Ruth to their shelter and hopes they will be very happy having a place of their own.  Ricky and Ruth are overcome with gratitude with their gift.

                                          

The Lemon family arrive with a yellow chair for Ricky and Ruth. Ricky and Ruth are thanking the Lemon family when Mr and Mrs Chocolate arrive with a big block of chocolate!

                                         

Of course, Ricky and Ruth thank Mr and Mrs Chocolate for the block of chocolate. The chocolate is put on the table and cut up and shared amongst all the rabbits present.

                                          

The rabbits go home and that night Ricky and Ruth are very tired and grateful for the gifts but Ruth says to Ricky," I want to choose what else I have at our shelter." Ricky answers sleepily, "You can," and they both fall asleep.
