The water pipe outlet is the attraction for the many
mice that live in this area. (Top left corner of photo).
These two mice live across the river from water
pipe outlet. They are looking for food.
Today they cannot cross the river because the river has risen too high with all the rain that came last night. The water is gushing out of the water pipe outlet.
The following morning the two mice are on the window ledge of a shed looking
across at the water pipe outlet. The rain has continued and the river level has risen to a dangerous level and is still rising.
They scamper out of the shed and meet some other mice on the path on their way towards their home.
They warn the other mice that the river is still rising and advise them to leave the area as soon as possible. The father and mother mouse are going to collect their two young ones and leave. The couple invite the other mice to come with them but the other mice want to stay in this area.
This is the highest part of land by the river and the water has nearly reached here. We must leave quickly the mother mouse says to her young ones.
Just then they hear a helicopter above them. They jump up and down and wave their paws in the air to attract the drivers attention. Terry Tan, the driver of the helicopter sees the flooded river and the mice family in distress and lowers the helicopter to the ground. The mice family are very thankful and climb into the helicopter and Terry Tan flies them to K. C. Bunnyborough.
