Terry Tan the helicopter driver sets the helicopter down by
the Kowhai Tree. His passengers are a mice family that he rescued by a flooded
river opposite the water pipe outlet.
Terry Tan lets the family out of the helicopter and gives
them instructions to Mr Know’s egg house. Mr Know is in charge of K. C.
Bunnyborough. Mr Know will help them out regards the mice family getting
accommodation, a meal and a shower and bath!
The Father mouse, Sidney Hazelnut leads the way with son
Otto, daughter Odette and mother Mona following him.(These
are the names given to this family that are on the box the mice are in.)
The Hazelnut family come into sight of the egg house and see
Mr Know doing some gardening and the twins are playing nearby. Mr Hazelnut and
family go to Mr Know and Mr Hazelnut tells Mr Know that Terry Tan has rescued
them from the flooded river and suggested they come here for some help. After a
lengthy discussion the family has been told to go to the Wash House to have
showers or a bath.
Mrs Grayson Blue is in charge of the Wash House and was
wiping the bath clean when the Hazelnut family arrive. She takes get pride in keeping the Wash House clean especially now that it has been re wall papered.
She can certainly smell them as Mr Hazelnut introduces
himself and family and explains their situation. Mrs Grayson Blue very kindly
explains how everything works because the mice have never seen baths and
showers before!
She tells the family when they have finished washing
themselves that they might now like to visit her sister, Mrs Grayson who is a
great sewer and they could get themselves some clothes. Otto and Odette think
this is a great adventure.
The Hazelnut family are feeling refreshed after their
showers and baths. Mrs Grayson Blue has invited them to come back again… soon
to use the Wash House. Onwards towards Mrs Grayson’s house the family scamper.
“ Wow!” they exclaim when they see the big house. Mr Hazelnut knocks on the
door.
Mr Grayson opens the door and invites the Hazelnut family inside.
Mrs Grayson tells the family to follow her up the stairs.
There in the room at the top of the stairs are some clothes
for each member of the family to wear.
The family thank Mrs Grayson and quickly put the clothes on
and descend the stairs where the waiting rabbits squeal in delight.
